I am so pleased to have been chosen to take part in the National Youth Choirs of Great Britain's Young Composers Scheme 2021-2022.
It is such a huge honour to have the opportunity to work with one of the world's leading choral organisations and their artistic director Ben Parry.
I'm looking forward to building a collaborative relationship with the many choirs of the NYCGB, and with the partner organisations Steinberg, NMC, and Stainer & Bell.
The prospect of writing brand new music for choirs of all ages is tremendously exciting - I'm looking forward to utilising the rich colours and timbres of the NYCGB. I can't wait to get started!

The Young Composer Scheme involves a wide variety of training, including workshops with the choirs across the country and at residential courses; 1:1 tuition with established composers; support from Dorico (Steinberg), recording label NMC, and publisher Stainer & Bell, as well as professional recordings and performances at the Royal Albert Hall.
I am also very excited to join NYCGB Fellows Michael McCartan, Benedict Goodall, Shivani Rattan, and Elizabeth Leather. And I am beyond thrilled to collaborate with composers Anna Disley-Simpson, Kristina Arakelyon, and Alex Ho, who was also involved with Corvus Consort's #TwelveComposersComposing project.
